SUPERB ANTIQUE JAPANESE BANKO WARE QUAD 4 SIDED 5 FACES LIDDED TEAPOT c.1910 in Inverness, Highland for sale

Description: This unique BANKO 4 sided, 5 faces/masks Handmade teapot, it is marked on the bottom with Japanese Banko characters. Each face is unique and different- a female "geisha", a mask male with gold eyes and two gold teeth,, a sumo wrestler, and the spout the nose of an old woman. The lid is another mask with gold eyes and grimacing gold teeth. Measurements: Approx 5.5" inches in height- including up to the tip of The nose or handle of lid It is 5 " across side to side The nose sticks up 1/2 inch This is the handle As found in a loft will need a clean,I believe they wear made for tourist market not the highest quality, lovely conversation piece- open to offers.
